Marine Pipe Marking
Marine Pipe Marking Specifications
Pipe marking is critical aboard seagoing vessels holding flammable or corrosive materials. Unlike workers in a warehouse, crew members aboard a boat cannot seek safety from hazardous exposure or fire on the open sea, making the efficient practice of safety and preventive measures imperative.
Pipe marking provides all members working on board with all the information, as presrcribed by ANSI A13.1, necessary to safely operate around hazardous materials and quickly respond to cases of spill or emergency.

Pipe marker labels indicate which pipelines are dangerous, direction of flow, and pipe contents.
The International ISO14726-1 standard establishes the basic colors for use with marine pipeline identification. Another regulation, the ISO 1476-2, specifies additional colors that can be used along with the main colors for more specific marine pipe marking.
Marine label supply is tested to withstand the punishment of service on ocean-going vessels and at other locations exposed to saltwater spray. Marine Label Tape is engineered for lasting service in beating and wet conditions, and is compliant with British Standard 5609 for saltwater immersion. This supply is also resistant to chemicals, UV rays, and abrasion.
